Team Bios
Jim Kleinfelder, VP, Business Development
Jim Kleinfelder was one of the founders of Spectrum Exploration
(now PSI) over twenty years ago. In that time, Jim has provided
geotechnical and environmental drilling services to both
public and private clients. He developed Spectrum’s
annual operating plan, oversaw two regional operations,
implemented the Health and Safety Program and provided assistance
on special projects. Jim has managed numerous DOD, DOE,
CERCLA, RCRA and EPA environmental projects requiring soil,
soil gas and groundwater sampling; groundwater monitoring,
extraction and sparge wells. He has managed geotechnical
projects requiring hard rock coring, 101mm punch core, mud
rotary and hollow stem auger drilling, as well as geotechnical
instrumentation installation. Currently, as VP Business
Development for PATC, Jim is responsible for the sales function
company-wide, as well as developing and managing high-level
relationships with major clients. Mr. Kleinfelder earned
his BS in Business Economics from St. Mary’s College
in Moraga, CA.
Brenda Crawford, Operations
Manager, Stockton
Brenda Crawford joined Spectrum Exploration (now PSI) in
1994, and has over 9 years operations management experience
running geotechnical and environmental drilling projects.
Ms. Crawford has managed hundreds of jobs requiring groundwater
monitoring well installation, soil gas sampling, and groundwater
sampling. Ms. Crawford is currently responsible for PSI
Stockton’s drilling operations. Her duties include
project estimating and bid proposals, scheduling, project
management, equipment maintenance schedules, personnel administration
and management, billing and collections. Prior to her management
position with Spectrum, Brenda spent 12 years working as
a store manager in the retail grocery business, where she
managed up to 75 people, including scheduling, merchandise
ordering and financial responsibilities.
Sherri Meiklejohn, Operations
Manager, Colorado Springs, Colorado
Sherri previously managed a multi-millon dollar oil and gas exploration (seismic drilling) company. Her responsibilities ranged from being an officer of a multi-state corporation, to directing, planning and coordinating field operations including up to 25 employees. Sherri has added seismic drilling to PSI’s array of services. She is the main person responsible, named on the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms) User of High Explosives License (US Dept. of Homeland Security). Through her management experience, she has managed DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, MSHA, Federal and State Codes, Blasters Permits and Blasting Exemptions, licensing and permits, Hole Plugging bonds (BLM, State, Private), auditing (DOT, AFT and Workers Comp), human resources, safety procedures, etc. Sherri is currently responsible for PSI Colorado Springs drilling operations. Her duties include sales and marketing, project estimating and bid proposals, scheduling, project management, equipment maintenance schedules, personnel administration and management.
